Problem: How to get everybody on board with the same message via a conference call
Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich was running for the Senate in Alaska. I met him in Boston and he wanted to run his campaign staff and consultants through the main message process. The only practical way was via conference call. It's important to note that Mayor Begich is a very sophisticated and experienced politician skilled at communicating with Alaskan voters. In fact, he had a number of excellent messages. The problem was how to get everybody on board with a single message. This was accomplished within less than an hour. This made their job much easier because now they had one, that everyone agreed with, and could now focus on getting Mark Begich elected. He won a close race and now is Senator-elect from Alaska.
