This venture capital company is a highly successful VC firm with a traditional organization of managing partners responsible for individual investments. It recruited a seasoned executive as COO to implement a new strategic plan to become international in scope. The COO wanted to a message to help him with this iniatiative. The unanticipated resulted was that the COO created a message that focused on the key interests of their most important, constituency, namely, entrepreneurs. They were, and are, the company's life blood and they weren't being communicated with effectively. As he commented, "none of this main message information is currrently on our website". The next goal is to apply the MainMessage process to their portfolio ompanies, particularly, those that aren't as successful as they should be. A good main message capability would be invaluable to any VC firm because it would result in more, succesful companies.
